This is a pretty cool statistic I never noticed.

The past 10 years the NFC has sent 10 different teams to the biggest game of them all. No repeats.

    Rams
    Buccaneers
    Panthers
    Eagles
    Seahawks
    Bears
    Giants
    Cardinals
    Saints
    Packers

*Bold as in they won the Super Bowl.

You could say the Rams went twice counting their 1999 team, and the Giants too since their 2000 team was whom got crushed by Baltimore.

Help me out here by filling in the blank.

    Packers: Team of 60's
    Stealers: Team of 70's
    49ers: Team of 80's
    Cowboys: Team of 90's
    __________:Team of 2000-2010 ?

And if anyone disagrees, feel free to submit your idea.

Patriots are definitely the team of the 2000s, they won 3 Super Bowls and went to a 4th. It looks more and more like their time is over, they can't win in the playoffs anymore.

Never an NFC 6th seed had reached the SB.

Those means nothing. None of those teams were build like the Packers. The closest to us where the Giants, and they were 10-2 and on their way, until they, uhm, shot themselves in the foot.
    Packers: Team of the 60's
    Steelers: Team of the 70's
    49ers: Team of the 80's
    Cowboys: Team of the 90's
    Patriots: Team of the 2000's
Packers: Soon to be team of the 2010's

Patriots no doubt are the team of the 2000's. Pittsburgh done lost that battle by dropping a Super Bowl to us, and the fact they didn't really win one without the refs.

I've been wondering what's going on with them. This year, they rolled over a whole bunch of teams after the Moss departure - then they wind up one and done. Really weird - except then we find out Tom Brady played the game with a broken foot - but they just came out so flat in that game.

Still, when you add it all up, it almost seems psychological...like they almost don't want to win in the post-season anymore. I don't know if it's just a loss of that hunger (maybe?), or if it's just that winning has brought them so many headaches, so much hatred, that it's just not worth it anymore...I really don't get it.

Don't lump 2010 in with the last decade. This is a new decade, the Packers are on their way to becoming the team of this decade with the first SB win.
