Rep Power: 31 | | Vikings working on Wildcat Access Vikings: Blog Archive Vikings work on Wildcat
I'm sorry. This is so patetic. They realize they don't have a QB. They realize the WR they drafted just can't catch the ball on the field. So what thy do? They take the qb off the play, and put the great Percy Harvin, who is not good enough to be a wr, and is not good enough to be a RB full time, taking the snaps.
And this gonna win the division for them? HA.
Ps.: Favorite line of the article: "Vikings offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said the presence of a guy like Harvin makes things more fun.". Why don't they put a clown on the field, instead?

Rep Power: 14 | | Harvin is getting a crap load of press for nothing. Don't get me wrong he is a nice player but I watched him his whole time at Florida and there where a lot of players that made him look better then he was.
Calling it right here he ends up being a disappointment for the vikings and his pro days are nothing but average. Keep grasping Brad it won't save your butt because your gone after this season.

Rep Power: 16 | | Really, they are bringing in the Miami Dolphins play book. I guess when you really don't have a QB this is the kind of crap you have to do...

Rep Power: 16 | | If they took Favre, I doubt they expect him to be mobile. They would want him as a pocket passer and he would be a massive step up from Jackson. So in the mean time, they are going to rock the wildcat.
Good times!

Rep Power: 31 | | I don't remember where I read it, but there was someone saying that for them to be working on the wildcat this early and this often, it'll probably be a considerable part of their playbook. And that's even sadder. We will have to prepare for it, though. But that, like I said, is a confirmation that they just don't believe they can win with what they have on QB and WR...

Rep Power: 17 | | Apparently i'm the only one that likes it. Harvin is fast as hell, and he's versatile as hell, this seems like a good fit for him. He'll line up in the Cat, he'll line up outside and run right by a guy, he'll line up in the slot, he can play tailback in a shotgun, I like all the versatility. I'm not saying he's going to set the world on fire, but I think the Vikes are finding really creative ways to use Harvin and really creative ways to put him in the best position to be successful. I'd go so far as to say Hester would be a hell of a lot more effective for the Bears if he was utilized in a similar manner. |

Rep Power: 31 | | What do the queens need to suceed? gimmick plays, a wr that can run with the ball fairly good (he doesn't throw the ball very good, though)? Or a respectable qb and wr that can make their passing attack better? Cause it seems that they didn't got it for this year.
And BTW, Miami was stoped in the playoffs. When it was new, the Wildcat worked well. When they could gameplan against it, well...

Rep Power: 12 | | Once the element of surprise is gone the wildcat isn't so wild anymore. Since they're advertising it so much in advance and, if they really plan on using it so much, there will be plenty of film on it available in the preseason and first 3 season games for the Packers to study. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
