Special teams pretty much sucked in this game, giving up big plays, poor punting and not giving Bodiford adequate blocking so that he could turn it up field. He did show some elusiveness which is encouraging. With a little help he could really blossom.
Nothing wrong with a little optimism  (Hopefully it will rub off on some of the "Negative Nancies" on this forum.) Couldn't agree more though that it will be an interesting test...a test we can and should pass with flying colors.
Ok....I'll try to make it a little clearer.........as Depack opined..."We have the money that we can give him NOW and it wouldn't hurt our cap # in the future at all. Pay the man the going rate"
Pay the man !!....he does deserve it. Just ask some of the premier receivers that he has faced and more than held his own against (ex. Chad Johnson or Anquan Boldin) They're probably a little more qualified to evaluate his abilities than we are.....
We can only hope that their adjustments don't work out as well as ours have. Kampman is a stud and I knew his new contract would really help motivate him, given his character and work ethic. I think he'll be a factor no matter who lines up against him for the rest of the year resulting in a well...
THANKS A BUNCH GUYS !! After searching the net with google with no results it FINALLY hit me that if anybody can hook me up, the guys at PF will know where I can listen on line....sure as $$it....I'm one happy camper !!

My first thought was how MM would feel about all this throwing after monitoring his pitch count so closely during practices. Granted he probably did take some zip off his passes but I'd bet those young receivers were trying their best to get Brett to air it out !! That being said I think it's...
Brett playing better is a given...receivers running the proper routes, reacting better to the ball, not giving up on it (a la Fergie) and having shorter routes in the WCO will all serve to improve the turnover ratio as well as time of possession. Factor in our upgraded LB/DB corps along with a...
Gotta go along with Depack on the Oakland game. It was great how everyone stepped up in support of Brett's amazing game. Of course the 1967 Ice Bowl is right up there too, not just for the come from behind victory and the third consecutive championship, but for the fifty thousand plus fans who...
Great post PWT...you really captured my feelings as a mostly lurker on this site. The negativity has surprised me for some time now and like you, dealing with so many years of frustration makes it easier to remain positive about the competitive teams we have fielded in recent years. (even last...
Give the guy a shot at it if it will make him happy, but I have a feeling that a couple of rockets from Brett on those short routes may make him think twice about it !!
