I am torn with Clark. On one hand he is extremely young (even for a rookie) and plays a position that is known to take a couple years seasoning and at least appears to be able to hold his ground in the run game. On the other hand, I had hardly even noticed he was on the team until the last...
Guion has outperformed Clark this year, and I don't think it's close. While I would normally expect improvement out of a second year player, recent drafting on the defensive side of the ball has me discouraged.
Micah Hyde for all intents and purposes is Jarrett Bush-esque in coverage. Sound tackler, can get away with him at safety but put him on an island and he's BBQ chicken. As for Clay, I am not one to baselessly call out a training staff but I really question how healthy he truly is right now...
I saw zone defense, I saw a little man-to-man defense. I saw tighter bump-and-run coverage, I saw near 15 yard reciever cushions given. Throughout it all though I saw bad football.
I made the thread with a little different goal in mind. Given the successes of former front office staff heads under Thompson and close colleagues in Seattle, Oakland, Kansas City and Washington (I believe) would letting the opportunity for Wolfe to walk the equivelant of giving up (Schneider...
In a recent article by cbs sports that seemed to hint towards McCarthy's job being safe, but maybe less so for everyone else, the final sentence really took me by surprise:
"Packers director of football operations Eliot Wolf, son of former Packers Hall of Fame exec Ron Wolf, will pursue outside...
I choose to look at it more optimistically, for as ****** as this team has been for the majority of the past month they are only a game back in the win column for the division lead.
I also have a newfound respect for what Rams fans go through:
The Rams after 8 games, Jeff Fisher era:
2012: 3-5...
I don't really understand it. The back end roster management seems sort of sloppy this year to me. I know it's not easy with these injuries but if you're going to sign Bell, why wait until Monday? Especially with Don Jackson on the roster and James Starks at practice last week and targeting next...
Not only do I expect them to compete for homefield advantage with an explosive offense similar to Arizona's last year, I expect Matt Ryan to be in the running for MVP as well.
If the playoffs were today, they would be in as a wild card. And obviously with a ton of important games yet to be played they control their own destiny, so to speak. So I'm not too worried.
I love Aaron and glad he's "back" but this r-e-l-a-x stuff has gotten so out of control it seems like people will use it whenever he's not playing up to his capabilities. That would be on Aaron, not my heart rate lol
