You could be on to something here Don. But its probably the simpler and more likely is that they actually do like him and it got leaked out. A good player at a need position should slide down to us.
I don't think this guy is necessarily a thug. He's just dumb and immature. I would pass unless he's available in the 3rd round, which he actually might be. He, IMO will certainly drop into the 2nd round because he's too much of a gamble to use a 1st rd pick on. The guy does have talent though...
Polk and Saine seem like almost the same guy(clones of each other) now that Polk has lost a few pounds and got in shape. I wouldnt take a rb any sooner than the 4th round. We already have Saine, Starks, Green and Kuhn. I dont see anyone other than Richardson being significantly better, so TT...
Broyles will be drafted in the late 2nd round. GM's know he's a heck of a player especially if they are comfortable with him recovering from the knee injury he'll be picked high. T.Y. Hilton is very talented too but kinda frail and wreckless with the ball, fumbles too much.
With this being a very deep cb draft Thompson should draft a safety or cb with one of the first 3 picks that way they could be more flexible with Woodson doing his "roaming" thing. I think at this point in his career he has no position he's just a roaming playmaker really. This is assuming that...
I have a feeling that Thompson will trade some of this years draft picks for future ones, just for the reason you mentioned. Its almost impossible to keep all of them for a handful of reasons, seems like kind of a waste to pick that many knowing going in, perhaps a third or fourth of them won't...
I agree that LaMichael James is overated but only because I think he's gonna "get killed" and not be able to stay healthy in the NFL. He is very slight of build in his upper body.
I also like Chris Polk, He's a bigger, instinctual runner who can catch the ball out of the backfield and is fast...
Well, he's sure no Bob McGinn. His analysis is shallow and weak and like others have stated, he's kind of a smartass. I'm not impressed with him at all.
Out of the UFA DE's and OLB's that the Packers were interested in (Lawson, Hargrove, Tollefson). I think they picked the one that would have the biggest impact in our 3-4 defense, although Tollefson would have been a close second - IMO.
If the Packers really feel strongly about McClellin (and are worried he'll be snatched away, like you stated) by all means take him at #28, but as of now I don't think that is a likely scenario. Even if it only means trading down 5 picks to get more value, I think that's the way to go(unless you...
