    Is Ryan Grant playing tonight?

Has anyone heard if Grant is playing tonight? Or is he going to sit this out with his hamstring? The last I heard was that McCarthy was still unsure if he would be able to go tonight.

How do you all feel about Ryan Grant?

I think he should have a great year, although the injury now is a little concerning, just because he needs to get as many reps as he can because of his holdout.

    Favre to call Bluff?

That was my first thought too...while I was watching it I was thinking to myself, "Wow, his comments don't seem to be as bad as ESPN and all the other media outlets made it out to be"

Peter King's take on Favre asking for release

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writers/peter_king/07/11/peter.king.favre/index.html He basically says that he feels the Packers first choice is for Favre to stay retired, but if he keeps pressing to play again, he will be a Packer rather than with another team.

Packer Notes.. Non QB related. Yippee

I go to UConn, and I got the chance to see Lansanah play in person, I am surprised he wasn't a late round draft pick...he anchored what was one of the best defenses in the country last season. Nice to see a UConn player go to my favorite team, hopefully he shows the staff what he is capable of.

    Favre to retire

Favre called Mortensen, according to ESPN First Take, and left him a voice mail saying that in the Moss situation DID NOT affect his decision. And also, anyone else find it ironic that now that the Packers.com site should be posting the Brett Favre retirement page, aren't?

    Favre to retire

Chris Mortenson on Mike and Mike now, saying his sources have confirmed he's retiring. No press conference set up, told McCarthy last night, not sure when Favre will talk.

Warrick Dunn - A weapon out of the backfield...

Apparently he is interested in Dallas, according to PFT.

    Pretty Pony's Rule.

No Moss = No Favre? Favre shouldn't have even been expecting the Packers to sign Moss anyway, with most of the league assuming that he would end up with the Pats.

    Randy Moss

But during the first 2 games of the playoffs, when he wasn't in the offense at all, he was complaining about how he felt he needed to be in the gameplan more. He still had a huge number of balls thrown his way, but I feel we have too many weapons already, especially if we move towards running...

    Randy Moss

I think that if Moss were here, we may spread the ball around too much for his liking with Jennings and Driver. Even though we would be winning, I can still envision him clamoring for the ball.

    Trade Rumors

John Clayton was just on NFL Live a few minutes ago, he said Corey Williams could be gone in a trade within the next few days. He said the Pack are looking for a 2nd round pick in return, so we'll see what happens in the next few days.
