Well, to make you feel even better, it doesn’t really matter if Vikes or Bears win.. it helps us. And already today, the Falcons (although cowboys losing also would’ve helped), Panthers and Skins have lost. If Eagles end up losing then it’s a near perfect Sunday.
Hey, remember.. making it to the playoffs sometimes doesn’t matter how good you are but how bad the other teams are. And right now the NFC wildcard is....not good. Looks like we have a couple ways in that aren’t too much of a stretch at all. (Yep I’ve been using the playoff machine already)
Have to say I agree. No one in the nfc, aside from the Saints and Rams, look very good. (I’m not sold on Carolina or the Bears)
It’s right there for the taking. It SEEMS like we should be in a lot more trouble than we actually are... and then you look at the standings and realize things aren’t...
I am seeing nearly the exact same thing from fans when the Packers were 4-6 a couple of years ago. This year our record is "slightly" better and the NFC wildcard is WEAK. I know some people don't want to make the playoffs because they're afraid we will get blown out and there are some that want...
Breeland and Alexander being back will be huge. Also, having Geronimo and Cobb back will be a help, along with valuable experience the rookies got. And Graham has been showing up more in the last couple games.
Also, the Patriots and Rams defenses are NOT the best. If our offense clicks, we can...
Oh, it has nothing to do with being bad or good. I do this every season. If we are back a couple games, I root against those ahead. If we are undefeated, I root against those directly behind us for cushion. (It’s fun for me, anyway)
Whatever adjustments are being made AFTER the half need start sooner. If we can play an entire game the way we have been playing defense in the second half, we would be set.
We currently sit at 3-2–1 and in the 6th seed. In order to keep pace/move up in NFC, who should we be rooting for in Week 6?
Obviously for NFC north (and potential wildcard positioning):
Patriots over Bears
Jets over Vikings
Dolphins over Lions.
For wildcard positioning/implications, we will...
Bears getting Mack is big for them, but I have faith we can get past it. Primetime, Week 1, the return of Rodgers at Lambeau.... let's do this.
Bears: 17
Packers: 28
They do need help, but there are about 3 ways into the wildcard. It isn't like there is 1 way in. Teams go through this, and overcome this, all of the time. We just aren't usually in that position. Will it be easy? No. Is it possible? Absolutely.
None of us know everything about the break, but what we do know is that Packers docs are some of the most conservative in the NFL. If they say a player is healed up enough to play, then I 100% trust their judgment.
Also, the "we are out of the playoffs" argument happened last year. We won 6 in...
It's not a trap game. This team knows this is a must win and they know they are just 1 game away from potentially getting Rodgers back. On top of that, a win in OT last week does positive things to teams. I think they come in with energy and win this one.
Packers: 24
Browns: 16
I have no problems rooting for Minnesota when it helps Green Bay. Plus, if they go in as a top team and then get eliminated, it'll just be more fun. :)
1 more thing....there are several scenarios that we can still get in. But at the end of the day, we all want something to play for in December and not just watch meaningless games. And this is what we are getting. It's going to be an interesting December..and week 1 of it was a victory for us...
