It wasn't a good season. Not with the talent I know we have. We underperformed the good part of the season and was lucky to have a 6-win streak to pad us. That said, I can't help but admire that we got as far as we did with scrubs and an offense that wasn't in sync all year. Still burns though...
I for one am tired of Adams. I can't stand seeing him drop a ball or miss a catch and then not even own up to the fact that he got beat by a corner. I can't stand seeing him let balls go through hands day after day and then watching him look around for a flag.
I am also tired of seeing players...
It is strange that Rodgers was more successful against top Ds in the beginning as opposed to now. I was thinking about that old baseball mentality that teams with younger players are less threatened by the playoff spotlight as opposed to veterans, because they are still fresh in their career and...
It's not like Seahawks and some of their fans were classy winners either, the ones on this forum being the only delight that franchise can offer.
If they had kept their tell-tale arrogance to a minimum I may have been more sympathetic to their plight. But with their LOB's trademark smack-talk...
I don't like the talk of dynasty. 2 SBs in a row is hard to get but a dynasty to me is consistently getting in Super Bowls and winning at least 3 in the span of 6 years. Bradshaw's Steelers come to mind when I think of dynasty.
Seachickens can win two and not sniff another Super Bowl for 20...
I have no problem with Marshawn Lynch, but I am glad he's not on our team. He seems hard to please, but it is fun that he has Seattle on their tip toes around him and his contract.
What he said was the truth, but why rub salt in the wound and pick on a player you just beat? That just doesn't seem classy at all.
This guys' tone...irks me. He should be thankful we blew that game for them rather than shaking his head at one player who isn't the greatest.
I honestly don't mind the Patriots winning. Even if they deflated footballs, that didn't cause the Colts to lose 45-7. Seahawks got lucky with "Chosen one" Wilson against us. I'll take the team who resoundingly proved they deserve to be in the Super Bowl over one who barely squeaked in.
Brandon Bostick is a stand up guy. I've seen some horrible people threatening his life or calling him garbage here and this kid stood up and owned up to his mistake. He didn't have to speak to the media, but he did so twice and confronted the issue. That takes integrity, a lot more integrity...
After a horrid special teams year this year, I would not lose sleep is Slocum were fired. We can rightfully put blame on Brad Jones, but that's what coaches are for. To teach and coach. That's the whole methodology behind TTs "draft and develop" mantra. If you don't coach, you don't develop.
I truly hope we can be better next year. The Bears have a new coaching staff (but still have Cutler lol) and the Vikings may not be something to scoff at next year. And there's always the Lions. Not saying we won't be the leader of our division again, but it won't be easy as this year.
Then again Philbin didn't get us this far last year and the year before. Still, we were lauded as the most explosive offense back then and our D had problems.
I'd rather see us start with Special Teams. Masthay isn't what he used to be, and too many blocked FGs, coupled with botched return...
