Are we really equipped to run a dominant 3-4?

Well I will say this, I hope they do it. I don't want to face him twice a year on a more gelled defense that can probably now run a wide 9 effectively. The only explanation I can really give you is that they don't want to give a 5 million dollar bonus and continue to pay the salary of an older...

Watch out for this Guy in 2012

Yeah that pick isn't looking to promising now. It's a shame, before he went out with the knee last year, he had that nice game vs. Washington. 2 years in the league though, he barely even plays. He started getting some time for you guys down the stretch, but nothing much and he didn't do much.

Are we really equipped to run a dominant 3-4?

One player is not the sole reason for a defense's collapse, it almost never will be. No one will argue that, but I don't think you are giving Jenkins enough credit. He flat out balled as a 5T last year and a 3T this year, and if anyone would be bias against an Eagles player, it'd be me. BJ...

Link? Just wondering where you got the stat from.

Are we really equipped to run a dominant 3-4?

I'm aware, but keep in mind what I initially quoted. And also keep in mind that Cullen Jenkins had an excellent year for you playing the 5T in 2010, and was probably the most productive pass rushing 5T per snaps played in the league that year, so it should come to be no secret as to why your...

    Calais Campbell

He is probably the second best 5T in the league.

What do you think about the Texans game in 2012.

With no bias to either of these teams, Houston, if their defense continues to dominate and your younger core guys continue to improve, can give the tough Packers offense a tough matchup. And unless the Packers can fix their D wounds, the Texans are gonna be tough to defend with Schaub coming...

Entertain this for a second (Free Agency Related)

Peyton Hillis, BGE, Mike Tolbert. All tough running backs who shouldn't command more then 3-4 mil per year. Hillis will probably only want/get a 1 year deal because of all his drama in Cleveland.

If you could draft ONE player from tomorrow's game for next season... who would it be?

He can play, and he has a motor that would rival Matthews, but as a Giants fan and watching him play, his lack of athleticism in a way compromises our defense. He makes up for it in heart, but the shock factor of your post to me is you overlooking a guy like Kiwanuka who can play OLB, or a...

Are we really equipped to run a dominant 3-4?

Cullen Jenkins had a huge impact on that Eagles defense. Shot gaps, stunts, pass rush, penetration: all he did with great success. Babin and Cole had huge years, because of how much attention was diverted to Jenkins. Jenkins played the way the Eagles wanted him to play, and that was coming...

    OLB Possibilities

Yeah you have a point there, but he was much more of a sleeper about 2-3 months ago when I was on his bandwagon. Maybe instead of trade up you trade back to get Curry, an additional pick, and have more flexibility to move up from your second round pick if a guy like Dontari Poe, Brandon...

If this is supposed to be Chase Blackburn then..... WOW.

Watch out for this Guy in 2012

Lawrence Guy was one of my sleeper guys as a 5T last year, I thought you guys got tremendous value for him in the 7th, especially with the imminent loss of Jenkins. Hope he turns out well for you guys.

    Ted Thompson's second challenge

Best NT in this FA class would be a guy like Sione Pouha, but he will probably (rightfully so) demand a lot of money. I can see him wanting to leave the Jets though. A sleeper at NT would be a guy like Antonio Garay from the Chargers. He was a flat out beast in 2010, and had a solid year this...

Let Finley become a Free Agent

Finley gives you guys a lot of flexibility on offense. He is a great TE, and even though he isn't known for his blocking, doesn't mean you don't have to account for it. Look what the Pats did with just two TEs, they made the SB, and had they possessed a vertical game, they probably beat us.
