some people do. don't know if this particular guy deserved it, but he was definitely asking for it. There are particular groups of people you don't become belligerent with, those preparing and serving your food are in that group.

From experience, don't mess with anyone who delivers food.
Now me personally, I didn't do anything to anyone's food. But the things I'd know, you'd never want to go out and eat again (or you'll be super duper polite to your waiters/waitresses)
